I hope someone can help with my confusion over fender skirt brackets for the 1965 full size fender skirts.

On page 32 of Smoke Signals for January of this year there is an article showing brackets for fender skirt attachment, but I do not understand how these would work.

I also have a set of brackets that look totally different than these, but it looks like I could make them work, and they did come with one pair of skirts I ordered.

Also there are aftermarket brackets that just clamp to the fender and the skirt and are tightened by screw and a small wrench.

Also there are instructions on the internet, which are not clear to me and no pictures.

I have not yet found a pictures(s) of an original set of brackets on a car.
