Here's a car after my own heart - in fact, it's almost a twin to mine (except for the a/c, PB, power antenna):

No comment on the ask, other than I hope he gets every penny.

I suspect this car is being sold by a dealer. My research shows that it has never been registered with Larry Kosek in the 1990's or with this Registry.
I queried the seller for the engine code, and he revealed that the car left the factory as a base 4BBL car with no a/c - the Tri-Power and a/c were added later.
That would make it much less rare than advertised.

Why was that not put into the ad? I would not consider this a numbers matching car at all! I wonder what other options were added! Maybe was an automatic at one time. A very nice automatic 4 barrel sold at mecum in the spring for 55g though! Fred

Registry member 421 HO in Australia alerted me to the fact that this car passed through the Mecum Auction in Dallas earlier this month. No sale on a high bid of $55K.

I find it curious that the auction listing notes simply "Tri-power setup" and "Air conditioning", basically misleading potential buyers into thinking it was factory-equipped with those options. That would make it a pretty rare 2+2. I hope the auctioneer announced that these options were not original to the car.
As always, "Buyer Beware!"

If at first you don't succeed...
No sale at $72,500 on Ebay last September, so the owner put it up for auction next week at Mecum Kissimmee.

Once again, I hope he gets every penny of the ask.
Second cliche of this post:
A rising tide floats all boats (as in Pontiac Land Yachts).
