No sale on the first go around at $20,200, so it is up again at Click here for link
with a very reasonable buy-it-now price of $34,500.

In early October there was a different car on sold through Ebay at Click here for link . Asking price was $36,500 - I don't know the sale price.

The value is definitely higher than the bidding would indicate. They only built 445 1967 2+2 convertibles w/4-speed manual, and this is PHS documented as such. Judging by the Registry, there are considerably fewer than that number left.

Anyone who has ever restored one of these land yachts know it is much wiser to buy one done than pay for the restoration yourself. Steve obviously spent a lot more making this a very nice, desirable car than his family can recover. I'm normally a "pure stock" kind of guy, but I like the Tri-Power addition, which is easily worth $2500 or so. Convertible, air, power windows, 8-lugs....does it get any better? Well, only if you can force 2+ tons of Pontiac down the road using a stick shift...oh yeah, you can with this one. If you've never experienced a Big Pontiac with 6-barrels of air & fuel backed by a 4-speed, you haven't lived. Very occasionally you'll ran up against a quicker car, but I can guarantee that you're still having more fun than they are.

Take a serious look at this car. Don't let it get away.

Unfortunately sommeone hit the b-i-n button by mistake - must be an Ebay novice.
Car is still for sale.

Former Steve Surgeont 2+2 is for sale once again in online auction:

I spoke with the seller and his spouse apparently is not fond of his involvement in the car hobby. I'm sure she's a very nice lady, but if it were me I'd be re-assessing my marital status (if my wife is reading this, I'm only kidding).

Since its last sale it has had quite a few bugs worked out, so if you considered buying it before, it's a better buy now. No reserve!

Good news for the new buyer / bad for the seller - winning bid was only $23K! A bargain.
I suspect that listing it on the same auction site so soon was a contributor to lack of bidding - potential buyers may have been leery that there were hidden issues.
